(4,088 posts)can lock up whoever hes fencing to. And if the public gets lucky hell be in prison until he is too old and tired to do this stuff or a fellow inmate shanks him. If his existence has any redeeming qualities, theyre not at all obvious. One could say at least hes not killing people, but his driving antics very easily could at some point. Hes not going to get any treatment in prison that will make him stop doing this stuff.
Its a small group of people committing these crimes over and over. Lock them up, throw away the key, and the quality of life would vastly improve for the rest of us.
That said, you have to be a moron to leave luggage in a rental car in a popular tourist spot, especially with electronics. Computers send out signals that can be detected by these thieves. A lot of their car choices are because someone left a computer or pad in the car.
