Anyone use 21st for car insurance?

I have bewn trying to contact them by phone for over a week, to no avail. On hold for 1hr plus each time, then call disconnects.

How in the world can they survive with support like that?!?

Second question: recommend an alternative for auto? A company you like?

I took a close look at them when I lived in California, years ago.
I had been insured with AAA SoCal and when I bought a new car,
weeks later, I had a single car (no dui) accident that nearly totalled
the car. AAA paid up, but also nearly doubled my rates. I looked
around then at a lot of companies and found that many of them were
pretty sleezy about payouts and raising rates because it's Tuesday.

The company that stood out as solid, reliable and honest was
Nationwide, the company that my parents used. Now after 40
years and a number of cases where I have had to deal with other
people's insurance, we have had a few small claims on our policy,
paid promptly and without hassle. I would never use another insurer,
if I had a choice. Not the cheapest, but fairly priced in most markets,
and a very cleanly run business.

Good luck with your search!

I've been with 21st my whole driving life, back when they were still 20th Century Ins Co.

No accidents, no claims ever. Man you'd think they'd treat such a customer well.

Can't access via their website, and emails unanswered.

Really odd.

I've used Geico for 25 years. They're awesome. Had a couple winter accidents years ago. Paid up. No rate increases.

Very happy with the service. Especially when the occasional bad thing happens.

My daughter has Geico and has been pleased as well.

Good luck.

And yeah, you can never reach a person by phone. I tried their chat too.... no human there either.

And I got an email from them today saying my payment is past due and they have canceled my policy. That's what made me try to call them to ask WTF. I've been with them 33 years. They don't care.

I logged in at the old 21 century site and paid the bill. It went through so now I'm not sure if I have a car insurance policy or not.

That's how I happen to be kicking this thread too.
