poor to be good and these are also jobs for the children of the rich who don't need a real income.

And this group is sketchy, for good reasons.

out the EEO site for tips on why terms like “early career” should not be used.

Likely? Nooooo, but ...

USAjobs.gov has openings for people early in their career.

This phrasing must get around the issue of age discrimination.

4. A phrase doesn't have to exclude 100% of a group

To create adverse impact. If it excluded 70% of people over 40, but only 10% of people under 40, for example, it would be said to create adverse impact on a protected group. The employer would then be required to show strong job relatedness. (Generally speaking)

That’s why EEOC objects to terms like this.

It’s hard for individuals to win age discrimination cases (thanks in part to a RW USSC) but that doesn’t make practices like this legal.
