Arkansas State Police confirm 2 people dead, 6 injured including one officer in Fordyce Mad Butcher grocery store shooting; shooter in custody


FORDYCE, Ark. – Arkansas State Police confirmed a Friday mass shooting at a Fordyce grocery store left two people dead and six injured including a law enforcement officer.

ASP officials said the shooter was shot by law enforcement and taken into custody.

Several agencies including the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police Department are on the scene near the Mad Butcher located on West 4th Street in Dallas County.

The Fordyce Mad Butcher is located in Dallas County near a Dollar General, Family Dollar and a Tractor Supply Co.

During a Friday afternoon news conference, authorities stated that 11 civilians were shot, three of which were killed. They also noted that two officers were shot during the incident and the suspect was shot before being taken into custody

It sounds like a total of 13 shot.

5. If there was some way that society could do something to prevent this from happening. I guess no nation in the

world has ever been able to solve this problem and the problem that the medical expenses will cost the ones who are injured.

I am wondering if the shooter happened to be a domestic abuser who heard the news this morning.
