LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An experimental drug being tested at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences led to a man’s cancer disappearing after more routine treatments were ineffective, researchers said.

UAMS officials said the 58-year-old man had been battling stage four liver cancer for four years. The cancer would return despite typical treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, they said.
