Our boy Tom Cotton embarrasses us again.

Sen. Tom Cotton has said that he will not vote to confirm Susan Rice to any position in the Biden administration because she is the "Typhoid Mary of the Obama administration foreign policy." I am slightly unclear whether he means that no one who was in the Obama administration is eligible or if he's simply saying we ain't having no black woman in the administration.

Either way, Arkansas has a lot to be embarrassed about lately but will no Democrat deliver us from this evil Trumper?

Our boy Tom sees himself as Trump's successor as master of the dumpster fire. Other dumpster fire lovers will agree.

Will choose who he wants to serve in his administration, not Republican Senators.

The Senate must confirm appointments to the cabinet. The rule seems to be that Republican presidents are entitled to the administration they chose but Democratic presidents, not so much.

If Biden appointees are not approved, he will put someone in as "acting." That can only work for so long and an Senate approved department head has inherently more authority. Nevertheless, if a Republican Senate blocks appointees, I would expect Biden to name someone less appealing to the GOP as an acting secretary.

Whether or not we claim him, our boy Tom represents us in the US Senate. We really need some viable Democrat to run in six years.

In the meanwhile, we need a viable Democrat to run against Boozman. Boozman is essentially a cipher - I doubt a majority of US Senators could remember his name. His only danger is in his vote. To the contrary, our boy Tom is a clear and present danger to the country.

Whereabouts? Of course, don’t answer if you’d rather not.

Far northwest suburbs of Chicago for me.
