Arkansas Democratic Party elects North Little Rock businessman Vincent Insalaco as chairman

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas — The Arkansas Democratic Party has elected North Little Rock businessman Vincent Insalaco as its new chairman.

The state party picked Insalaco during a committee meeting on Saturday in Springdale.

Insalaco will replace Will Bond, a former state legislator who announced in July that he was stepping down as chairman after two and a half years at the party's helm.

Insalaco's election doesn't come as much of a surprise.

Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe announced his support for Insalaco, saying he would be a strong replacement for Bond.

We'll see if there are any changes in the party...Goddess knows we do.

out of the party. They all seem to fall back on the good ole days of Big Dawg. It is so sad.
