Arkansas 'not prepared' to move to Phase 2 of reopening, governor says

In a press conference on May 14, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Arkansas is not ready to enter Phase 2 of reopening the state at this point.

"We're not in a position to predict when that might happen," Gov. Hutchinson said. "Obviously, when you see two days of increase in patients and two days of increase in hospitalization, that'll cause you to pause and make sure to remind everybody to be careful."

The governor said Arkansas still has a lot of work to do, so no one should assume the state will be ready to reopen in 14 days.

Hutchinson said this is not encouraging for a quick movement into Phase 2, but they will be evaluating all of the data in order to make that decision in the future.

Imagine a GOP Governor looking at the facts.

Wait and watch what the wing nuts in the General Assembly do now.

He worked out a way for Arkansas to get the ACA Medicaid Expansion and has rammed it through the Republican congress every two years.
