Entire Arizona Town Evacuated Due to Wildfire Amid Dry, Windy Conditions

All of the approximately 1,000 residents in the southern Arizona community of Dudleyville were told to evacuate Thursday afternoon due to a wildfire.

The blaze, called the Margo Fire, broke out amid dry, windy conditions.

"It's going to be a challenging afternoon for firefighting efforts at the Margo Fire in Dudleyville," the National Weather Service in Tucson tweeted. "Expect sustained westerly winds of about 20 mph and gusts 30-35 mph with relative humidity values around 10%."

The high Thursday was forecast to be 88 degrees, with no significant weather changes in the coming days.
