Went to Costco .. no TP. They did have paper towels (limit 1). Tried to buy 2 containers of dishwasher tablets (1 for me, 1 for my son). Couldn't. Limit 1 on those as well. Costco was PACKED with people (I figured it was because of Veterans Day and people being off work).

The Kansas City area has reached community spread (announced last night) and people are reacting.

I placed an Instacart order right before the election and for that particular order I had more replacements and not-found items than I've ever had on an Instacart order, by a huge margin (more than 50%). At the time I wondered if it was an omen that we were about to go into shortages. (I didn't order any paper products that time).

That same week, though, my mother and sister used Instacart and got toilet paper.
