(7,962 posts)1. I think deaths lag 2 to 3 weeks from landing in the icu.
so, for those new cases, the unfortunate ones that have a serious outcome won't be dead until a few weeks from now.

(2,184 posts)2. Doesn't it say they only did 3600 tests. If that is the case and 600 were positive, those
are are not good numbers, 600 positive out of 3600 cases is still around 17% positive. Also, it is taking a week to 10 days to get test results back. CVS is no longer allowing drive up testing without appointments, and if you try to get an appointment they are all booked up, so get ready for testing in AZ to drastically decrease, which is probably what Douchy would like. My daughter had her test last Tuesday, and still does not have her results back.

(16,808 posts)3. One of the labs didn't submit information in time, thus the lower number:
AZ Republic (AZCentral)
The department tweeted on Monday morning that the new case number is low just 625 new cases, compared with 1,000 case to 3,000 new cases typically reported since the beginning of June because one of the labs did not submit its information in time. The new cases will be added to Tuesday morning's update, the department wrote. A record 3,858 new cases was reported on Sunday.
Inpatient beds and ICU beds in use continued to hit new records, while ventilators in use and emergency department visits for suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients dropped on Sunday, according to Monday morning's report.
As of Sunday, 84% of current inpatient beds and 88% of ICU beds were in use for COVID-19 and other patients.
