Arizona reports more than 2,500 new coronavirus cases, totaling more than 52,300 statewide

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported more than 2,500 new coronavirus Sunday.

With 2,592 new cases, the statewide total is 52,390, the department said Saturday in its daily tally. The total number includes people who have recovered.

The state said 1,339 people in Arizona have died from COVID-19. There was 1 new death reported today.

Across Pima County, 5,370 cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed, up 294 cases from the day before.
