FBCScottsdale will host an emergency food/supplies donation drop-off on Sat, April 4th and Sun, April 5th at 10a - 2p. We need folks to drop off and volunteer. All donations will go to Vista Del Camino.
Items needed: canned soups, peanut butter, canned corn, dry or canned beans, cereal and boxed prepared meals, such as mac and cheese and Hamburger Helper.
Personal Protective Equipment: hand sanitizer, surgical masks, disposable sanitizing wipes. Other items: sunscreen, lip balm, socks, t-shirts, sandals, and basic clothing, plastic utensils and food items not requiring a stove top or can opener for people experiencing homelessness. Pet food (dog and cat) and various toiletries are also needed: toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, deodorant, shampoo, soap, dish soap, and dental hygiene products.
I will be one the volunteers there tomorrow morning. If anyone lives close and can donate that would be terrific. The church is located on North 70th Street and East Osborn. The church is close to Old Town Scottsdale. Those familiar with the area we are close to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn campus.

(6,321 posts)It was a small turn out for the first shift. People did bring peanut butter, cereals, canned goods and a cheerful moods. We kept our distance. We wore our gloves and used bandanas has masks. There were three other churches contributing as well as FBCScottsdale.

(6,321 posts)might have been Mr. Salcito (sp). My junior year he had to two prostitutes speak to his class. He was cutting edge for sure. That was the first and last time 'ladies of the night' spoke to his class. I never had him but as a 16 year old I thought he was cute.
