Star ASU professor faced numerous misconduct claims, from sex talk to touching
Arizona State University's investigation into misconduct by well-known theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss includes details from more than a dozen allegations, including reports of crude remarks, inappropriate touching and gender discrimination.
He was accused of sexual misconduct by several women in a February story published by Buzzfeed News. ASU this week released documents related to its investigation of Krauss after a public records request from The Arizona Republic.
Krauss has denied most of the allegations and disputes the university's determinations in a submission he made to the university.
Krauss announced Sunday that he will retire from ASU, effective in May 2019, rather than continue the university disciplinary process. He will be paid by the university until May, but will not work in any capacity on its behalf, the school said. His salary is $265,000, the university said.
