Still hanging on to your early ballot in Arizona? Here's the deadline to mail it back

Election Day is almost here. If you plan on mailing in your ballot, it's time to vote in Arizona.

All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be tallied. If you're mailing back your ballot, you should put it in the mail no later than five to seven days before Election Day to ensure it is delivered on time. This year, the final date recommended to mail back your ballot is Oct. 29.

If you're a rural voter, consider allowing extra time. In some remote areas of the state, ballots are transported by postal workers across county and state lines to larger cities for sorting — and then must be carried back to county election officials.
