Lynda Carter, star of 'Wonder Woman,' endorses Democrats running against her sister
Lynda Carter, who starred as the original Wonder Woman in the 1970s, has endorsed two candidates for the state House of Representatives who are running against her sister.
She said in a statement to Mother Jones that her sister, Pamela Carter, misleadingly claimed to have her familys full support. Pamela Carter is running as a Republican in Arizonas 4th legislative district, which includes parts of Phoenix and Scottsdale.
I have known Pam my entire life, which is why I sadly cannot endorse her for this or any public office, Lynda Carter said in her statement to Mother Jones.
Lynda Carter instead threw her support to Democrats Karen Gresham and Kelli Butler, a former state representative. The two face off against Pamela Carter and incumbent Republican Matt Gress for two open seats this November.
