I'm freaking out

Hi everyone - S Scottsdale here.

Mark Kelly's race is now being called a toss-up by several pollsters.
Kari Lake is beating Katie Hobbs - who is turning out to be an extremely weak candidate, but so is Mark Kelly!

What I want to rant about is the lack of support this state gets from the Dems, the DNC, DCCC, Governors Assn, etc!!

Why hasn't Obama been here? Or Michelle?
How about Joe Biden? I know Mark Kelly tried to distance himself from Biden during the debate - big mistake imho. I love Joe Biden. My political friends IRL all love Joe Biden.

Kari Lake had Marsha Blackburn come campaign with her over last weekend.
You cannot tell me there isn't one popular Dem to help our candidates!

I don't even see many commercials for our candidates. But I do see ads for Blake Masters & Kari Lake everywhere, even when I surf the computer.

Only a few in the media mentions our state which is ground zero for the Qrazies.
All I hear about on MSNBC is Georgia trying to stay blue. Well what about us in Az?

I feel like the Democratic party has abandoned us once again and left us out to dry.

If anyone wants to calm me down, that would be great because I don't think Az will be livable if Lake wins & pulls up the other q candidates up and down the ballot.

I am seriously freaking out.

Indivisibles has a neighbor2neighbor program.
They give you the names of 5 of your Democratic neighbors that haven't returned their ballot yet, you just knock on their door and remind them to get that ballot sent in. Or they have a printout you can leave in their mailbox/or door

It's not much, but at least I feel like I'm doing something!

Bolduc wins the senate seat here in New Hampshire, in which case, we'll both be looking for new accommodations.

New Hampshire is weird - some blue, some red, and a lot of Libertarians who can go either way. Right now, both my senators and my congressional rep are Democrats. I'm hopeful that Dr. Tom Sherman might be able to unseat Governor Sununu.

I have friends and relatives in Arizona and I really feel for you. Every election they end up basket cases, almost as bad as Florida.

I'm a wreck but I did sign up to do volunteer work. And that helps.

Usually I can't wait for elections to be over but this time, I don't know.

now whenever I try to dismiss a candidate as too outrageous to be a threat. I am immediately taken back to election night 2016, that horrifying moment when Trump was declared the winner. It still gives me the chills. Once a nutjob gets elected president, it opens the door for scores of others - a con artist's dream come true. "What should I do with my life? I could start a Ponzi scheme or maybe run for political office. These suckers will believe anything."

My feelings are mixed about the elections being over. I want to be past it, but like you I am also nervous. I don't want a replay of 2016. I don't know how much more sane people can tolerate. I'm getting too old for this shit!

The Repug candidates are so over the top loony it would not take much to shred them. Maybe even a small pair.

what is happening with campaign ads

Isn't the DNC insuring there is money to run ads and campaign in those critical states?

Only thing we should focus on now is getting out the vote

Lake would have said something so offensive that Katie could've used in campaign ads.

I said from the beginning that we should have provided support to Purple states like AZ, and not waste a single dime on the campaigns in states that represent the shiny unattainable object.

If Kelly loses that seat, we're Fucked.

I remember one year when there wasn't even a Democratic candidate for Senate! That's right, the Republican, Kyl, ran unopposed.

For reasons I don't understand, AZ is overlooked by the DNC.

I think it was 2018? when the Dem candidate lost by a small margin without any help from the DNC.
They've been ignoring the large Latino population & now we're losing their vote.

Mark Kelly saying (I forget which advertisement) he is not afraid to stand up to Joe because he is here for Arizona.

There was another ad for another candidate in which that person said he was running to represent Arizonans not just the Democratic party.
