That first one should be printed and framed, it is fascinating and beautiful. Kind of like a moon made of dust descending.

monsoons were always called summer storms too.

I think people do call them haboobs more now - someone gave me a bumper sticker that says Arizona girls have big haboobs.

In both places and in between. Was always a dust storm. Haboob came much later. When social media became a thing.

Although the word Haboob, I think, is some old Middle Eastern dust storm word…

I'm in Tempe right now came up last Thursday the 25th. saw one on the way up and got a picture too, but it wasn't anywhere as good as that one. and of course I don't have access to my photo account until I get home, tomorrow.

why does traffic always jam up at Riggs Road/Queen Creek???? I haven't been back to Tempe in the last ten years when EVERY single time, no matter day, or time that there isn't a huge slow down. and there is never any obvious reason, never a wreck or anything visible to explain it. after you get going again traffic moves faster at rush hour in town. WTF?

I they had captured the dust storn you'd never see or hear from them again.

I'm just a stickler for proper sentence composition. No offense intended.

I can't help myself. Sometimes I believe I have OCD about simple things like that. I wish I didn't. Really.
