Mom concerned after her child became sick after attending Brophy's outdoor homecoming
Excerpt:
My child has not been able to walk for several days, so thats been pretty scary, the parent said.
So, she took her to Urgent Care and said she was told by the doctor that they've seen other children who reportedly went to the same homecoming event.
They immediately said, 'weve seen many children who have experienced ailments immediately after that event, and some who were even hospitalized,' she said.

(12,600 posts)A couple friends dogs have been diagnosed, and another friend has had a weird flare up from it. I had it 40-odd years ago - they used to say if you lived in Phoenix for 5 years, you would get it. Hasnt been something Ive heard much about lately (apart from dogs).
West Nile is bad here right now as well.

Yes, then as you brought up West Nile has hit our state hard this year. I wish it would get cold and kill off the mosquitoes.
