On this day, October 12, 1921, Art Clokey, the creator of "Gumby," was born.
A pioneer in stop-motion clay animation, Art Clokey was #BornOnThisDay, Oct. 12, 1921. Remembered as the creator of TV's "Gumby" (1955-'60+ the original voice of Gumby's sidekick, Pokey) & for TV's Davey and Goliath (1961-'73). Passed in 2010 (age 88). #RIP #GoneButNotForgotten
