His work as Homelander in The Boys is outstanding! Truly terrifying and unsettling. I guess maybe they still aren’t taking stuff based on comics seriously, or maybe the shock content of the show is too much? If that’s the case, it’s unfortunate. Starr is amazing in this role.

episode of your favorite show - The West Wing, Seinfeld, Mash, or whatever are almost gone. I really do miss those days. I liked the anticipation of next week’s show and especially watching it with others and talking about it at work the next day. Binge streaming - yuk.

The big 3 seem to be the retail equivalent of Sears, once mighty but being left in the dust.

I went to a Mash final episode party dressed like one of the characters but with a makeshift IV pole attached to me. It was a little difficult driving there. I exchanged the saline in the bag with a vodka solution (after I arrived) but that’s another story….

Reading through the nominees, I hadn't heard of most of them, let alone watched any of them, until I got to the Best Comedy category. TV used to be such a community experience, something we could gather together at work or school the next day to discuss.
Now it's so fragmented, and the majority of viewers don't even have access to some of these nominees.

I'd like to see Larry David win for best actor after his show's swan song.

The police shows are all cookie cutter. The reality shows are way too much pathetic drama.
And don't even ask me about network and local news.

Seth Myers getting an Emmy nod over Jimmy Fallon

That has to make things awkward at the old NBC late night water cooler
