I guess it is the Clivia flowers that almost make me think of witch hazel. Wonderfully demure little damsels.

I'm not sure what witch hazel looks like. But these clivias are just plain gorgeous to my eyes.
The demure shape and the exuberant color make for a stirring combination!
Please forgive me for wondering, but do you do a lot of cooking? I know what Roux is, but why you chose it is a mystery!

I used to mostly enjoy eating, now I may in some cases prefer cooking, but why settle!. After a couple trips with family years ago to the Crescent City, I became enamored of gumbo, any kind, and have been concocting it in my own amateur way ever since. Hence my nom.
