From my home in Santa Fe, the only way I can tell it is not an actual full moon, is that it rose an hour or more after sunset. To the naked eye, it looks full.

It sure does look full to me as well.

The few craters on the right side tell me it's not quite full now. I like getting those craters! They make that flat disc look more like a sphere.
