(739 posts)Now get back to the Library and polish your candlestick Col.Mustard. That was more of a double entendre than I could
have hoped for.
Just in jest here.

(33,348 posts)strong favorites for 2020. Indeed. I always look forward to being at the beach and last October--when I took that shot-- was a real boost to my spirit after having been confined to my apartment since mid March.
Thanks to everyone who submitted their favorite photos from 2020 and congratulations to Xolodno and HAB911 for the 1st and 2nd place wins!

(10,440 posts)Good time to comment on the fact that my photo, while technically (near) perfect, was not in any way artistic. Framing and composition are always my goal. I think all the other entrants achieved that much more than mine. In the digital age, with improvements in optics and sensors, there has been an overwhelming attention to fine subject detail, to the detriment of composition and artistry.
All the entries were winners IMO.

(22,685 posts)My dear friend, thanks for the noticing. Honestly, there seems to be no let up in my life of external influences and needs for attention and time. 2021 has not yet properly set in for me.
I missed it - and first thing I knew it was already running, though I did have a few photos in abeyance for it.
YET - I'll be ever present starting as soon as I get the theme from the winner to whom I have sent a private message with the request - because I remember I signed up to host the February contest and will get goind ASAP
