Friday's Shadow Tails

Shadow's friend Winnie visits occasionally.This first photo is from last January.

She was here last week and they played.

Shadow's long-time delivery driver friend Jen was here the other day.
She couldn't stay.

They had a very nice visit nonetheless.

My "alarm clocks" ~ I'm gently awoken by KC and Shadow, at her
"tummy hungry" time, 04:30-ish daily.

Every day I walk past the bedroom and check in on Shadow.
Often she'll be stretched out on our bed. I'll sit with her, give belly rubs.







Yesterday, I knelt for one last close up.

When I stood back up, Shadow starting barking like crazy.


So I suggested it might be dinner time. She followed
to the dining room. And waited patiently. (Hungrily.)

At last. Purina One with supplement and pork grease. Yum.

She's aging. She sleeps a lot. But she retains a spark of delight with life. Shadow has given us nearly nine years of joy, Peggy, and it is rewarding to see how she affects
others favorably.
