I love lilacs. As a kid, our yard was bordered by them. Many happy memories associated with lilacs.

Growing up in the south, I always wished we had them there. It just doesn’t get cold enough for them to grow well. When I moved to NY, I was thrilled to find a huge lilac right outside my living room window! The blooms don’t last long. But, they are so beautiful.
