As an annual member I was able to attend a preview of Longwood Gardens' "Reimagined" project yesterday. Longwood is a public garden that consists of more than 1,100 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows in the Brandywine Creek Valley in Kennett Square, PA.

Blending the visionary and the historic, our legacy of innovation continues with our most ambitious expansion, reimagination, and preservation of our Conservatory and surrounding landscape in a century.

For more than 115 years, we have harmoniously blended art and science to create a horticulture experience of unparalleled splendor. With the realization of Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience—a sweeping reimagination of 17 acres of our Conservatory and grounds, opening November 22, 2024—we are honored to enhance, steward, and preserve one of the world’s most important, most beautiful collections of gardens and glasshouses.

Stunning new buildings, wondrous new indoor and outdoor gardens, surprising new guest experiences, and much more await. We’re expanding our grounds, connecting them from east to west in a beautiful, unified journey of lush, formal gardens to open meadows to winding paths to breathtaking Brandywine Valley vistas. Your photos are amazing and so visionary--just as the curators of those gardens are.

I think I see what you're doing: Various views (along the building, and then directly at it, and then inside, at the top and at the floor level and so on!) They are all simply breathtaking.

2. It's so uplifting

To realize someone appreciates the intersection of art and nature and created a place like this for people to enjoy. Thank you for the beautiful photos.

There are a lot of gingkos on the property. I love seeing the piles of yellow leaves, but Longwood clears the paths and lawns meticulously.

6. My bucket list was running low

I guess I will add going to Longwood. I have an older friend in Western New York was there years ago and would like to revisit it. We have started thinking about spring.
