(152,925 posts)Those pink flowers made me smile too. In the midst of an overcast, slightly chilly day, those flowers made me forget all that!

(152,925 posts)My husband and I have lived here since the very late 1960's. Even then housing was through the roof.
But we're settled and will never live anywhere else again.

(211 posts)And oh my God, those tomatoes look divine! There's nothing like a perfectly ripe, end of summer tomato. When I was a kid, my favorite thing was eating a tomato sandwich with lots of Duke's mayo on my grandmother's home made bread. I didn't know at the time that we were so poor that we couldn't afford bacon to make a proper BLT, but even decades later, that's still one of my favorite meals ever. I just wish I could make bread like Grandma did...

(152,925 posts)Our childhood memories can be so powerful that they overwhelm our everyday lives. I'm glad that my photo did that for you.
I saw the tomatoes from a distance and I thought that I had to get them into a picture! And here we are!

(122,093 posts)The artwork was incredibly talented, and I wanted all the flowers, they are so gorgeous! And what to say about the food, except. . When is dinner (and everyone can have my share of the okra!!!)???. I loved the way some of the berry baskets were displayed in that diamond pattern! Very cool!
Another masterpiece!
