2. I'm thinking now that I should have cropped out that clump of rocks in the lower left. ah well. I highly recommend the

trip there.

Tom's Place exit off Hwy 395, about halfway between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes.

4. Mother Nature is a fabulous artist.

Can't improve on her work, though ..... I learned to frame in the camera from the film days, and for the first time, I figured how to get GIMP to remove power lines from a nice scenic.

Not a problem in MOST of the Sierras.

Whatever you did, rock included, has great presence, and the rocks and the stream invite one "into" the lake.

I SO love the mountains. I lived in the lower Sierra Nevada for 12 years.

6. How could you leave? I know these areas aren't great for high paying jobs, but it has

been a nice retirement spot for the wife and I.

Tourism and retirement, that’s the economy here.
