A peaceful walk on a creekside trail

11. The trail connects to the federal campground where I tented.

There are no hookups for RVs other than a dump station, which keeps the crowds away. I plan to return in the fall. Thanks, Diamond_Dog!

4. Love the red-winged blackbird!

Thetre all very nice, but that's my favorite.. It's so cool the way you caught him in flight. (I know it's a "he" because the females look totally different from the males.) Very dramatic with the water as a background.

Mouse. Toe. Scamper. Yikes! It might've been inspired by what happened to a barefooted midnight snacker who opened a kitchen cabinet expecting to find peanut butter and crackers. On the other hand it might be an obscure reference to a song on the album Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart. Or both.
