I have had the great fortune to have attended multiple Olympics over my lifetime. My experience of going to Barcelona were captured in that song and the city was magnificent and the experience wonderful. Nothing like it since and the summer Olympics (winter too) have sadly since then become political and corporate events that are gluttonous and will never be the same.

Best Winter Olympics ever was in Lillehammer Norway. Small and intimate and the comradery and the hospitality of the people and staying in peoples homes was also an amazing capturing of Olympic and human spirit that will never be repeated.
