When we hosted, we always fell back on this because any guest player had room to blow.
Our version, however, used a beat reminiscent of Peace Frog by The Doors.
Made for some more interesting rhythmic interplay between the 4 of us while guests were soloing.
I used to play piano on that one.

The beat for Peace Frog wasn't one my brain had at its fingertips, so I had to go to YouTube. It's a little hard for me to imagine the vocal at that pace. I think I've said this before I was fortunate enough to see BB King at the Whiskey Ago Go in Hollywood, his closing night and Freddy King's opening night, who I saw the car wash before the gig
