No disrespect intended to Linda R., Stevie N., Ann W., or anyone else---Annie Haslam was simply the best there was. A vocal range of five octaves, she was opera-trained, and just did things I don't think anybody else could do.

(28,870 posts)4. If you really want to appreciate Annie's voice,
listen to a live version of "Ashes Are Burning"---it'll knock your socks off! Renaissance didn't have a lead guitar, so they used Annie's incredible voice to replicate one---and the result is truly spine tingling!
