In The Mood - Glenn Miller 🎺

1940s big band classic. 📀
-----
Alton Glen "Glenn" Miller (March 1, 1904 – Dec. 15, 1944) was an American big band conductor, arranger, composer, trombonist, and recording artist before and during World War II, when he was an officer in the US Army Air Forces. His civilian band, Glenn Miller and his Orchestra, was one of the most popular and successful bands of the 20th century and the big-band era..

Miller went missing in action (MIA) on Dec. 15, 1944, on a flight over the English Channel from England to France. In keeping with standard operating procedure for the US military services, he was officially declared dead a year and a day later...

He was still a boy when Glenn was at his peak popularity, and became a cool jazz fan in the late 40s, early 50s.
But, never lost his love for Miller & his big band.
I actually learned this song for a piano recital because I knew my dad would dig it
I think I was 10 at the time.
