I hear the song El Paso back in the 60s when he was on the Ed Sullivan show. In the mid-80s, I was on a flight to my base in Germany and the plane stopped for refueling in Bangor, Maine. There was a small store still opened in the airport and I found a cassette tape by Marty Robbins with El Paso on it so I bought it. About 10 years later, I found a Marty Robbins - The Essentials 2-CD set and bought it. There's a song called Feleena (from El Paso) which tells Feleena's story from the song El Paso. It's over 8 minutes long and beautiful.

Also on the CDs is the third song about El Paso and Feleena called El Paso City in which a passenger flying over El Paso remissness about a story of a cowboy and a girl in El Paso a hundred years ago.
