In this case it was for his lovely wife, Ali (which he often used to announce before playing it).

I was excited it was a preview for some new concert release, but it was posted to YT 9 years ago

I remember riding to college listening to Rattle & Hum every day on the Walkman for like 2 months straight when it came out in 1989, and this was my favorite song on it

I’ve been going down the U2 rabbit hole tonight. I also have the Rattle and Hum movie/documentary from 1988. 😁

Of course nobody sings it like Bono but Johnny Rzeznik does a really nice cover.
