The funny story I heard was from Denny Diaz, about that great electric sitar solo.
He isn't sure what made him decide to play that sitar, but it was there in the studio, so he thought it would be cool.
After he got done, he turned to everybody and said (referring to the instrumen) "Wow, is this thing a piece of crap. I'll never play one of these again."
So, he played that great solo on an instrument he utterly hated!
