There's nothing wrong with that, but he began focusing more on gospel, and that doesn't sell.

I had the pleasure of seeing him when he was still 16 in Cleveland. It was at a concert bar called "wilberts", famous for roots acts and blues. Well this night they brought Jonny in and I couldn't wait. I think it cost $15.
I bet there were 50 people there including the bar staff. That's it. No one came from miles around to hear this phenom play.
I asked him to put the date on the poster, it was 1997.
