.......Trump's idiotic covid response had anything to do with it. Come to think of it, I'm going to make a yard sign that says "Fuck Trump - He Killed John Prine".

On a more personal note, when I was a young adult, I worked in the grocery that Prine frequented. He’d come in most Wednesday evenings (by far the slowest day and time). He never spoke much, but when he did he was always very friendly. He always seemed like a great person to me.

(I also had the privilege to assist Sarah Cannon - aka Minnie Pearl - with her groceries on many occasions. To this day I name Ms. Cannon the nicest person I’ve met in my life.)
