That riff is excellent, especially when it goes into the turnaround & feels like an odd time signature.
That part always made me think Black Dog by Zeppelin, which has that same feel.
Vernon plays a pretty wild solo on this.

But, their time in the spotlight was indeed, short.
They reunited about 15 years ago & regroup now & then.
They did a tour with Extreme last year. As a big fan of Extreme, I'd love to gave seen that pairing live.

...Vernon played on dozens, or hundreds of albums.
He can play anything, so he can fit into any genre.
He's very underrated.
