This piece sounds like it would have been a very good part of the score for a movie about ancient Egypt/Ethiopia. Cleopatra for example, the Claudette Colbert version.

2. If you listen to Lara Downes' program on KUSC, she often plays music of Florence Price.

And many others.

You can pick up her show weeknights from 8 to 12 (Pacific time)

Online at https://kusc.org
Or via their app.

I listen to syndicated American Public Media from 8-10 weeknights on our local university station. They're known to play Price. Also our university station has played her frequently. I think syndicated WBUR Boston (or not).

5. I used to listen to WBUR. Back in the days of "FM only" in the Boston area.

Now, we can get stations from everywhere. The CapRadio repeater is weak, so I gave up on FM. Internet only now.

I most often listen to KUSC, WBJC (https://wbjc.com ), and WQXR, especially their operavore stream (the classical stream, WQXR, is also fine). I use apps for KUSC and WQXR, but you can stream via browser.

Thanx. I just started listening. Previous selection from Ika Peyron. Posting 2 of her compositions. Was not familiar with her. 🩷
