'It's that time of year again! Limber up your voting fingers and get ready to take part in WETA Classical's annual listeners' choice competition — which lets YOU determine the most popular classical pieces in the DC area.

Classical Countdown voting is open November 7 through November 13, and we’ll play back the top 100 picks during Thanksgiving week, counting down to the top piece, which will air on Thanksgiving night.'

SO, voting ended, we listeners voted on our favorites, and they're being played now, resting until tomorrow, began this morning, and resumes Tuesday morning. FINAL: Thanksgiving night. HINT: #1 is 'always' either Beethoven's 9th OR Dvorak's New World.

Between then and now, I'm waiting to hear Rach's #2 and 3 piano concerti, and peeps can 'bet' on where Beethoven's symphonies will place, AND 'several' violin concerti!
