TCM Schedule for Wednesday, September 8: Directed by Mike Nichols

Here on TCM, daytime will be spent Down on the Farm, but given that the evening theme is Directed by Mike Nichols, nighttime will be spent in a considerably less bucolic setting. And there will be more booze and bad behavior.

By the way, I can't post the Mike Nichols content without observing that TCM's drafting, fact-checking, and editing of its schedules remain as disappointing as ever. For example, under the online description of American Masters: Mike Nichols, "No Director Available" appears. Does the name Elaine May ring a bell?!

I got to go cover the press availability and reception before the event. Anderson Cooper was there and John Glenn, they were trading stories and jokes. Mike Nichols was the funniest guy I have ever heard talk.
