she manages to get the designs around planters and kitchen items etc. I think they are just beautiful.

(18,942 posts)You roll different colors into a big sausage kind of thing by laying different cane, Like straws sort of made of different color polymer clay. And then you slice it like a cookie. Then you lay that cookie flat and stretch it

(22,998 posts)And I just figured out the logistics of what she does. She makes the designs flat and then wraps them around a pot......I believe.
I really want one but I'm having a hard time justifying the price.

(12,749 posts)Of polymer clay by rolling colors together in kind of like sushi rolls that reveal a colorful pattern when sliced. Then the slices are smushed together and rolled like cake fondant and the sheets are the used to cover objects and are fired to cure.
These are very beautiful and the artist is highly skilled.

(2,681 posts)both are deep in to the paper mache stuff. One has made a table and chairs, the other makes colorful beads to use use for mobiles and for jewelry making.

OTOH - those long, organic shapes are really cool! 👍
I love the "pebble" shaped ones.
