Confession time. What are your strengths and weaknesses as an artist?

I'll go first. I think I'm pretty good at colors and composition. My biggest fault is impatience. When I get tired of a painting I tend to rush to complete it. I'm also absolutely terrible at rendering the human body and faces. They look like they were done by a five-year old.

1. I'm impatient; also, I suck at composition.

3. Good with color, terrible at drawing.

4. I'm pretty good, except for composition. Oh, and perspective. And I can't mix colors at all.

I am also absolutely terrible with light and darkness and shadows. and perspective. and I definitely have no sense of size and do not even understand dimensions. Oh, I forgot, I'm excellent inside the negative space. Any spot on the picture that I do not apply paint to, looks awesome! All in all, I am pretty, pretty good.

5. My weakness is impatience too

My strength is my eye for inherent talent when I see the work of others.

I think I give pretty decent critiques. Always be supportive and encouraging. Try to understand what motivates the artist and what he/she is trying to show and encourage it every step of the way.

6. Perspective. I tend to do a lot of line work in sketching

It usually comes out good, but I sometimes think my line work style is more to cover up my mistakes.

7. Illustration

The human figure is my favorite to draw, especially hands (they can be a challenge). My strengths are that I have a keen eye/hand and render well. Sharp contrasts with light and dark are my favorites too. My weakness is that I want to make one tiny little thing better, and in the process ruining the entire thing. I have a hard time leaving something that isn't perfect.
