(10,163 posts)Captures the feeling of being on a beach in early autumn for me...I grew up off of the Southern shores of Lake Michigan and that painting feels like September on a windy, brisk day to me.

(53,410 posts)The way you rendered the reflection of of the sun and sky in the water in the forefront is amazing. It looks blurry in a very convincing way. Your colors are beautiful and intense and they give your painting depth and richness. Your highlights are contrasting beautifully with the darker areas and bringing the eye back to the central focal point of the painting which is the setting suns reflection on the waves and the still water and the glowing outline of the land in the bottom. Youve done a great job here. You are very talented and seem quite grounded in your knowledge of color and motion. Your waves are also excellent.
Its a joy to look at. It pulls you in to look for the details and you discover so much of the subtle blending and strokes you use. Its excellent!
I always learn something about technique when I see and study your work! Thanks!
