2. I was in an actual paint store....the owner of a national brand was complaining he is months behind

meeting demand. He can't fill orders some languishing 6+ month. Many materials involved in the formulas come from various locations, outside the US.

Pretty much everything. Businesses are restarting post covid and now there is a pent up demand and they cant keep up until they rebuild their supply chain. Its true for food as well as houses, fuel, etc... I suppose it will go back to normal in a few months.

watercolor paper. canvas all are high and not always available unless you live in a good size city.

5. I've never bought European acrylics, but oils seem more expensive lately too.

I'd like to try a larger painting - mine tend to be fairly small - but I'm a bit put off by the cost of paint.
