(53,410 posts)2. I really like this one
It grabs your attention because of the contrast in it even though its pretty monochromatic. The moon is very bright, almost a strong sparkle silhouetting the tree trunk and the branches and delicate leaves as well as other vegetation and forms. There is a promise there of the same shapes in daylight in full color. Your brain fills in the details for daylight. I love the intensity of it in your stark rendition. Its beautiful in a stripped down way, and powerful in your bare minimum use of light and shadow.
I like the way the nighttime can make a scene 2-dimensional. I hadn't really notice it until I painted this one.
