to explore new subjects and to also initiate new techniques. You are a restless artist, not staying in your comfort zone for too long. Your ability to just jump in and experiment in a new direction is admirable and it pays off. To me it’s the indication of a lifelong student with great curiosity and the need to respond to the world around you in a creative artistic way.

You have an extraordinary reaction to the world. You look at details in nature and the world that most people miss entirely, and the benefit we get from that is that you interpret them and share them generously.

I am intrigued by your bold use of white and solid black in your night paintings, especially since you’re always aware of backgrounds and as faithful to them as you are to the main subject. So I assume your pitch black and impenetrable backgrounds is a subject that draws you. You paint what can be seen, such as a window or tree or a Christmas decoration as if they’re floating and disconnected to anything. It’s an interesting variation and noteworthy.

I am constantly looking for new subjects and places to paint. While I may have a style, I'm trying not to get into a rut. That's what makes it so much fun! Our family motto is "Try new things!" That's the way we raised our two daughters.
