(120,900 posts)Great eye work. The whole face is so excellent. Not discounting the rest, but man is it hard to get eyes and a face right. You did.

(53,410 posts)I was looking down at him so the perspective is a little different than usual, and yes, it was a bit difficult to do his face, especially at an angle.

Its funny how as an artist you arent always aware of what you capture. Seeing your own art through the eyes of others is quite surprising sometimes.
Thanks!

(24,414 posts)drawing that you did of your cat. From the OP title, at first I thought it might be a video of your cat doing a drawing. I'm already a bit paranoid.that cats are taking over the world and looking down on us.
I'm no art critic, but it looks to me like you captured more than just the physical likeness of the cat. There's character and personality in the drawing. Looks, in fact, like a cat who could take over the world, if he chose to, but could also decline to be bothered with the responsibility of it.

(53,410 posts)but why bother. We already do their bidding.!
I think I captured just enough of the wildness in the cat that it comes across as true to what cats are like. There is no humanized cuteness there. He looks like he may have been soaking up the sun when he suddenly sees a movement that might turn out to be prey.
Thanks!

(24,414 posts)One is purely feline wild independence. The other is saccharine, suck-up sweetness. If I had pics of her in each mode side by side, nobody would recognize it as the same cat.
